Congratulations to Paige Falkowski, Julianne Pham and Ali Cole for being selected to the All County Lacrosse team.  In addition, Ali Cole was honored as the Midfielder of the Year for Gwinnett County girls players.  Duluth Youth Lacrosse Director Jerry Consie was honored as Person of the Year at the banquet by the Gwinnett Lacrosse League.

Our JV is playing in the Titan JV tournament Friday and Saturday 4/13-4/14.  All games are being played at Northview High School 10625 Parsons Road, Duluth, Ga.

Our first game is Friday 6:30 PM  vs Dunwoody. Players need to be at the 600 building at 5 PM Friday to depart on the bus to the game.

If we win on Friday, our next game is 1:30 Saturday.  If we lose Friday, we play at 2:45 Saturday.  Players should bring both colored jerseys to the games.

Congratulations to Paige Falkowski for being named to the All Tournament Team for the 2012 GAC Spartan Shootout Tournament.  Paige made 48 saves over 3 games for a 62% save percentage, including a shutout of Tri-Cities HS.  Paige is pictured with Tournament Director/GAC Head Coach Gerry Hill.

If we win Friday we play at 2 PM Saturday but if we lose Friday we play at 9:00 AM Saturday.  The players will take the bus to and from the game on Friday but are responsible for their own transportation on Saturday.  The address for GAC is 1575 Indian Trail Road, Norcross, GA 30093.

 We play our first round game of the Gwinnett County Tournament tonight (Fri 2/24) at 6PM on Field 1 (or Field A) of the Buford Sports Complex.

The Buford Sports Complex is located next to Buford High School at 2750 Sawnee Ave Buford GA 30518.

Our opening game week is the busiest week of our whole season and I want to make sure everyone is aware of what we have going on.

Monday 2/20 - HOME GAME 7PM vs Mountain View, all players be at stadium at 6 PM
Tuesday - Practice
Wednesday - AWAY GAME at Brookwood, JV Start 5PM, Varsity 6:30, team bus departs Duluth 3:45 sharp
Thursday  - To be determined.
Friday - AWAY GAME at Gwinnett County Tournament at 6 PM held at Buford Sports Complex  (2750 Sawnee Avenue, Buford, GA  30518 - Next to Buford High School).  Bus depart 4 PM sharp.
Saturday - AWAY GAME at Gwinnett County Tournament  - Game time depends on how we do Friday night. No bus - players responsible for transportation.
Monday 2/27 - Picture day 3PM practice field, dress is black uniforms. 

We will take team and individual pictures on Monday February 27th at 3 PM.  Players are to wear their black jerseys for the picture.  After the pictures are taken we will have practice until our regular 4:45 dismissal.

WHO WANTS TO WIN A CAR?

Duluth Lacrosse is doing a major fundraiser selling raffle tickets for a 2012 Ford Fiesta to be raffled off in May at Gwinnett Place Ford.  The raffle tickets are only $10 and are a terrific deal because they come with $10 work of Chick-Fil-A coupons printed on them - they pay for themselves!!  Coach Hennelly and Coach Spotz will be distributing raffle tickets to players to sell.  This is a TERRIFIC fundraiser for our program - please ask any coach or player how you can buy a ticket.

Team Conditioning for girls lacrosse players not involved in a winter sport will begin on Tuesday November 1st and continue every Tue and Thu from 2:30 - 3:45.  Players should meet in front of the gym dressed ready to run outdoors.  Winter conditioning workouts will focus on cardio endurance, speed and agility.  Players need to have a physical on file in the Athletic Office to participate in conditioning workouts.

In addition to Tue/Thu conditioning for all players, the coaching staff will schedule 2 on 1 training sessions for players on Mondays and Wednesdays starting November 2nd.

Congratulations to rising juniors Ali Cole and Noah Holt who have been selected to the Southeast Regional Team to play in the All-American Lacrosse National Classic.  Noah and Ali will play against the top national high school players in Maryland July 5-8.  Great job ladies!!

Congratulations to Ajahna Grosvenor (1st Team Attack), Ali Cole (1st Team Midfield) and Amy Nicholos (2nd Team Defense) for their selection to the 2011 All-County Team.

Middie Julianne Pham jumps for joy and celebrates with Noah Holt and Yale Choi (background) after the LadyCats establish their first winning season with an 8-6-1 mark in the 2nd year of the program.  In addition, the LadyCats fielded their first JV team in 2011 as well as their first middle school feeder team.  The LadyCats plan to work hard in the offseason to achieve their 2012 team goal to "PLAY IN MAY".
